For over a decade, I've worked at the intersection of marketing, media, and community. My background in journalism shaped how I approach strategy: the story comes first.
I lead marketing for organizations that serve Black business, creative, and cultural communities. In 2025, I directed the marketing strategy for the Mass Black Expo, which sold out on a fully organic campaign with zero paid advertising. That came from consistent positioning, audience understanding, and long-term community trust, not ad budget.
In my current role, I've grown the newsletter from 4,000 to 11,786 subscribers (194%) and Instagram from 2,475 to 5,273 followers (113%) through organic campaigns alone. The work is patient, and it compounds.
My foundation is in journalism. I earned my M.A. in Professional Journalism from Northeastern University and received the Women Who Empower Innovator Award in 2022 for my work in media and music journalism. That editorial background still shapes how I build campaigns. Every strategy starts with the reader.
In 2024, I founded M3 Multimedia Agency, a boutique digital marketing consultancy for creative entrepreneurs and public institutions. I've delivered integrated campaigns for clients including Cambridge Science Festival, where I planned and ran a $6,000 multi-platform paid campaign across a full festival season.
I'm also the founder of MIIXTAPECHIICK, an independent music and entertainment platform I launched in 2012. Over 12+ years I've published 5,000+ original articles and built a nationally recognized brand from zero, with features on Vice, The Neighborhood Talk, and The Jasmine Brand.
I'm currently pursuing an MS in Marketing Analytics at Southern New Hampshire University to deepen the data and budget side of my practice.
