Women, Infants and Children

During my time at Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office in Quincy, I did the following tasks:

  • Contacted public-access television networks in communities that WIC serves to run PSAs about the nutritional program, documenting those activities into the Massachusetts State WIC database.

  • Talked with mothers in the waiting room about external health and human services offered through the WIC program.

  • Created pamphlets that explained the benefits of breastfeeding/classes that WIC offered and distributed them to mothers waiting for WIC services.

Tahisha had a positive approach to the work she did, all while demonstrating reliability, trustworthiness, and motivation. We felt confident leaving projects in her hands, as we were able to trust her good judgment to follow through and make practical decisions when necessary. Tahisha was always a team player, helping beyond her assigned role as an intern and we appreciated that about her!”
